Cultural Reference- Superheroes and Villains
Comics and their adaptations into the cinematic universe are a very popular movement with people of all ages. This is because a lot of people have at least one hero, or villain, with whom they can relate to, that and they are absolutely awesome. They represent disguise well because nearly all heroes have a costume or armour which they wear to embody a different persona. The clothes they wear often reflects on their powers or personalities, for example Spider-Man wears a latex suit with bug eyes, a webbed pattern and coloured red and blue like the radioactive spider which bit him, giving him spider-like abilities. Black Widow is sly and uses her femininity to her advantage, wearing a black leather suit. She is a spy and agent so she doesn't need too much armour, but the sleek and simpleness of her costume represents what she does and gives nothing away.
The same applies to the villains, it's rare to see a Marvel villain without anything covering their faces, even a hat of some sort.
Here are some of the Marvel Villains, they all wear a sort of complex design relating to their name or powers.
I think that you could link the ideas of disguise to photography by being a little bit less literal, using face paint or maybe even sewing a disguise into the picture, like a mask or something. I could create an image and frame it with the frame wrapped in superhero wrapping paper or something like that.
